Alumni & Ambassador: Communities Intern

• Engage the Alumni and Ambassador communities by monitoring discussions in Slack and coordinating engagement and recognition efforts.
• Support cross-functional event planning and motivational messaging during Kiva campaigns.
• Assist with Ambassador recruitment, including posting job descriptions and initial screening of applications.
• Create reference materials (e.g., FAQs, training videos) and collaborate on volunteer engagement logistics.

This role helps expand financial access by supporting Kiva's community programs, enabling volunteers and ambassadors to amplify Kiva's mission of connecting underserved communities with crowdfunded loans.

• Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and ownership of work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly proactive, organized, and able to work independently.
• Intermediate skills in Google Docs, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

This is a part-time volunteer internship with a modest stipend of $800 per month (before taxes). Perks include professional development workshops, access to Kiva's alumni network, optional participation in Employee Resource Groups, and references for successful participants.
