AI Security / Biosecurity Engineer, RAND CAST

• Conduct research and analysis on AI security and biosecurity threats to inform policy and defense strategies.
• Develop technical assessments and risk mitigation approaches for emerging AI and biosecurity challenges.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to produce actionable recommendations for government and private sector stakeholders.

This role directly contributes to safeguarding global security by addressing critical risks at the intersection of AI and biosecurity, helping to prevent catastrophic misuse of emerging technologies.

• Advanced degree (PhD or Master's) in computer science, AI, biosecurity, or related field.
• Experience in AI security, biosecurity, or dual-use technology risk assessment.
• Strong analytical and research skills with ability to translate technical findings into policy-relevant insights.
