What you will drive

  • Build AFJ Law's presence in Texas by delivering legal guidance on advocacy matters to 501(c)(3) organizations.
  • Lead and manage a direct legal services practice, setting strategic priorities and operational direction.
  • Serve as primary legal relationship holder for a diverse portfolio of nonprofit clients, providing proactive risk assessment and preventive counsel.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active bar admission in good standing in Texas.
  • At least 7 years of legal experience, including providing legal advice to clients, with meaningful exposure to nonprofit law, tax-exempt organizations, or public-interest legal services.
  • Expertise with federal nonprofit advocacy laws and knowledge of related Texas state laws.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-lawyer audiences.
