Accounts Payable & System Improvement Manager

• Manage the group's Accounts Payable function and team, covering invoice processing, timely payments, and first-line finance queries.
• Drive system improvements by assessing and implementing new Workday functionality to optimize the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay experience.
• Ensure tax compliance, accuracy in invoice processing, and effective management of cash flow, suspense accounts, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Report on AP and AR KPIs, investigate variances, and drive cost efficiency in invoice processing.

This role ensures the financial operations run efficiently, directly supporting OVO's mission to achieve Plan Zero by enabling a healthy Finance team that can focus on driving the transition to zero-carbon energy.

• Expert knowledge in Accounts Payable, transactional finance, and Source-to-Pay processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills, with experience in coaching and team development.
• Proficiency in ticket management, process automation, KPI reporting, and data analytics.
• Experience with Workday or similar ERP systems is advantageous; accountancy qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) desirable.

Salary: £45,000 - £56,000 per year, plus on-target bonus of 15%. Additional benefits include 34 days holiday, healthcare cash plan or private medical insurance, gym membership, travel insurance, cycle to work scheme, and up to £400 towards OVO Energy plan.
