Youth Mentor - Full-time, Paid, Long-Term

Core responsibilities:

• Develop and sustain long-term, caring relationships with 8-10 male youth as a positive adult role model
• Set expectations, nurture strengths, teach life and academic skills, and provide enrichment activities for each child
• Partner with parents/caregivers to provide concrete and social emotional supports for families
• Complete administrative tasks including documentation, evaluations, and reporting accurately and timely

This role creates positive change by building lasting relationships with vulnerable youth, helping them overcome obstacles, develop their potential, and access resources and opportunities to thrive despite challenging circumstances.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years experience working with children and teens preferred
• Ability to develop trusting relationships with youth, families, teachers, and community members
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Willingness to commit for a minimum of three years in the role

Compensation and highlights:

• Salary: $52,500 per year
