Mission

What you will drive

Core Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and onboard national importers across West Africa for biomass stoves and cookware, negotiating favorable trade terms and distribution partnership agreements
  • Negotiate exclusive importer/distributor agreements with general trade companies and develop OEM partnerships with trading groups
  • Identify, engage, and convert leading LPG stove importers and trading groups specializing in home appliances
  • Collaborate with distributors to co-develop Joint Business Plans, define pricing strategies, and manage P&L for new markets
  • Build and nurture high-impact relationships with key decision-makers across BURN's existing and prospective partners

What makes you a great fit

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Over 5 years of multi-country experience in business development, sales, or related role with exposure to Sahel and Francophone West Africa markets
  • Established relationships with senior decision-makers at leading trading groups/importers specializing in home appliances or consumer goods in West Africa
  • Well-connected within the Indian and/or Lebanese business communities in West Africa and in major global hubs (Dubai, Shanghai/Guangzhou, Singapore)
  • Proven record negotiating and closing importer and distributor agreements in general trade channels for kitchen appliances or consumer goods
  • Deep understanding of general and modern trade dynamics across West Africa, with expertise in Profit and Loss management and Route-to-Market strategies
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive approach, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong communication, relationship management, and cross-cultural negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in French is a competitive advantage
