Welfare Support Executive (South Wales)

Core responsibilities:

• Promote the profile of the RAF Benevolent Fund's welfare offer while carrying out welfare casework in the South Wales region
• Undertake holistic assessment of need both remotely (telephone/online) and in-person across the region
• Work with individuals who may have complex and challenging welfare needs, identifying appropriate support from within the RAF Benevolent Fund and wider statutory/military charity sector
• Ensure support is made available to meet needs through the case working process

This role creates positive change by providing emotional, financial and practical support to members of the RAF Family, ensuring that service is valued, recognized, and people are supported even after their military service ends.

Required skills and experience:

• Experience working in a social welfare role supporting individuals
• Strong people and relationship-building skills
• Empathy with or understanding of issues affecting the Armed Forces community
• Must have own vehicle for traveling around the region covered
• Enhanced DBS Checked
• Must have the right to work in the UK

Compensation and benefits:

• Circa £30,000 annual salary
