Core responsibilities for volunteer roles:

• Host Community Welcome Calls and prepare introductory communications for new members (Onboarding team)
• Draft content for monthly newsletter and LinkedIn posts, including researching news and interviewing contributors (Communications team - Writing/Editing)
• Create video content for social media channels (Communications team - Video Editor)
• Contact influencers and media contacts to secure podcast/video slots for leadership (Communications team - Outreach)
• Build and maintain features for the PauseAI website and technology stack (Software team)

This role contributes to building a global network advocating for democratic oversight of AI and pausing AGI development until international safety agreements are established, helping ensure transformative technologies don't progress beyond human control.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Friendly, welcoming, and good social connector (Onboarding team)
• Strong written skills with ability to capture PauseAI tone and communicate complex information simply (Communications team)
• Video editing skills (Communications team - Video Editor)
• Charisma and ability to build and sell ideas persuasively (Communications team - Outreach)
• Web development skills (SvelteKit, Node, Markdown) or ability to learn (Software team)
• Self-directed, able to work asynchronously with bias for action (Software team)
