What you will drive

The RoleWe are looking for aVolunteer Leadto provide critical direction and expertise, driving forward anew, organisation-wide approachto volunteering — one that is inclusive, impactful, and aligned with our mission toimprove outcomes for deaf childrenand their families.We are looking topush boundariesand test new ways of doing things toreach our customers and engage with volunteers. The chances are, we haven’t done it before, so we are looking for abrave and creative mindsetto breathe new life into our approaches..What you'll do
- Focus on thedesign & implementationof a new,sustainable approach to volunteeringwhere you will use your expertise to shape the direction of travel.
- Providestrategic inputon developing sustainable,scalable initiativesthat serve our communities and respond to need.
- Develop approaches todecentralise volunteer managementwhereby community groups, partners and staff have confidence recruiting, managing and engaging volunteers.
- Provide an oversight of the rollout of thevolunteer management system, working with the Volunteer Advisor to ensure that it is tailored to the needs of volunteers, staff and customers.
- Develop new and creative strategies toengage and reward volunteersthat recognises diverse needs and motivations.
What you'll need
- Significant experience in avolunteering managementrole.
- Strong demonstrable experience of inclusive volunteer management, includingrecruitment,training,support & recognition.
- Knowledge ofsafeguarding,data protection&compliancerelevant to volunteering.
- Experience of aparticipative approachto volunteering, co-creating initiatives incollaborationwith communities or service users.
- Strongdigital skillsand a sound understanding ofagile values & principles.
- A criminal record check /DBS disclosure(if offered the position).
