Virginia Field Coordinator

• Build statewide grassroots power and engagement in Virginia to oppose new fossil fuel infrastructure and support clean energy solutions.
• Develop and implement grassroots advocacy activities, plan educational events, and promote civic engagement on energy legislation and regulations.
• Build relationships with community members and partners, recruit and manage interns and volunteers, and collaborate with communications team for unified messaging.

This role empowers communities to oppose fossil fuel infrastructure and advance a just clean energy transition, protecting the land, climate, air, and water of Central and Southern Appalachia.

• Demonstrated experience with community engagement and grassroots organizing, including volunteer coordination and campaign implementation.
• Excellent writing, communication, public speaking, and event planning skills.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and competency in Google Suite, MS Office, and social media.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel, including overnight; flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Full-time, non-exempt position in a union-represented collective bargaining unit. Competitive compensation includes employer-paid health, vision, dental; short- and long-term disability; flexible spending account; generous paid vacation and parental leave; flexible hours; employer-matched retirement plan. Salary range: $50,000 - $57,500.
