US Sales Tax Accountant (100% Remote Work)

• Prepare and submit sales tax filings for clients, ensuring data accuracy and compatibility with tax software
• Monitor clients' tax collection variances, identify issues, and work to resolve them with clients
• Provide assistance to resolve time-critical issues with state sales tax authorities regarding assessments, collections, and past due returns
• Assist with special client projects including submitting late/amended returns, managing audits, and updating company information with states

• 2+ years of accounting or audit experience with knowledge of accounting/auditing processes
• Excel/Google Sheets expertise including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
• Experience managing multiple clients and priorities while keeping everything organized
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and excellent time management abilities
