UNPAID VOLUNTEER - Principal Technology Officer - Distributed Ledger Technology

• Define and execute the DLT/Blockchain technology strategy and roadmap for BCI's projects and initiatives
• Build, lead and manage the DLT/Blockchain technology team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation
• Design, develop, test, and deploy applications and solutions using DLT/Blockchain and complementary technologies (AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Data Modelling, and associated tooling)
• Research and identify the best data sets and AI models for our use cases and objectives, and monitor/evaluate performance and impact of technology solutions

This role contributes to the global fight against climate change by applying blockchain and other emerging technologies to support informed decisions by stakeholders in the climate action network, helping governments and organizations navigate complex technology landscapes for environmental good.

• At least 5 years of professional experience in DLT/Blockchain or related field with strong technical skills in programming languages and frameworks including DLT/Blockchain (e.g., Solidity/Ethereum)
• Bachelor's or master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
• Experience in leading and managing technology teams and projects, including agile methodologies, budgeting, reporting, and documentation
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with ability to develop effective working relationships and work flexibly across professional boundaries
