UNPAID VOLUNTEER - Blockchain Software Developer

Core responsibilities:

• Provide software development support (including blockchain coding or engineering) across BCI, especially in Research Divisions I and II
• Provide inputs for Councils established under the BCI Fellowship Scheme
• Support the development of Proof-of-Concept DLT applications across sectors (e.g. Finance, Energy, etc)
• Attend conferences and events to promote the BCI, demonstrate prototypes, and engage with key stakeholders

This role contributes to the global fight against climate change by developing blockchain applications that help governments and organizations make informed decisions about emerging technologies for environmental good.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Minimum one year's solid experience in developing blockchain systems with familiarity of mainstream public chains (Bitcoin, Hyperledger, Ethereum, etc.)
• Experience with software development languages (Java, C++, Solidity, JS, Go, Python) and smart contract development
• Sound knowledge of Linux, Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices
• Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
