Transmission Engineer

Core responsibilities:

• Act as an internal subject matter expert to implement ideal modeling assumptions and ensure data quality with external partners
• Work on economic modeling projects related to transmission congestion analysis, LMP basis risk, energy curtailment risk, LMP price forecasting, and energy asset due diligence
• Develop strategy to attain grid operator cases directly and manage FERC processes
• Assist software development teams with integrating models into the cloud ecosystem and formatting/delivering data

This role helps accelerate the global transition to clean energy by developing software that makes solar project development faster, more precise, and highly productive, contributing to a net-zero economy.

Required qualifications:

• Experience in transmission planning, renewable grid integration studies, power system economics, large load interconnection, or reliability assessment
• Previous consulting experience (EPE, Siemens, LEIDOS, nFront, LCG, Ascend Analytics, ICF, etc.) or utility/ISO experience (preferably in CAISO, PJM, SPP, MISO, or ERCOT)
• Working knowledge of power system studies and experience with PSS/E, TARA, and powerflow modeling solutions (e.g., PowerWorld, PSLF, TSAT, PSCAD/EMTDC, ASPEN)
• MSEE or Ph.D. degree

• Salary Range: Starting from $165,000 to $200,000 yearly
