Transmission Engineer

Core responsibilities:

• Act as an internal subject matter expert to implement ideal modeling assumptions and ensure high-quality data with external partners
• Work on economic modeling projects related to transmission congestion analysis, LMP basis risk, energy curtailment risk, and renewable energy development
• Develop strategy to attain grid operator cases directly and manage FERC processes
• Assist software development teams with integrating models into the cloud ecosystem and formatting/delivering data

This role accelerates the global transition to clean energy by developing sophisticated software that makes solar project development faster, more precise, and highly productive, helping to clear the path to a net-zero economy.

Required qualifications:

• Experience in transmission planning, renewable grid integration studies, power system economics, or related areas
• Previous consulting experience (EPE, Siemens, LEIDOS, etc.) or utility/ISO experience (CAISO, PJM, SPP, etc.)
• Working knowledge of power system studies and experience with PSS/E, TARA, and powerflow modeling solutions
• MSEE or Ph.D. degree and deep understanding of interconnection queue processes

Compensation and perks:

• Salary range: $165,000 to $200,000 yearly
