Trade Justice Organizer - Midwest Region

• Conduct educational presentations and organize public events about trade policy across the Midwest.
• Recruit and train local spokespeople to advocate for trade justice.
• Build volunteer groups and coordinate campaign tactics such as policymaker meetings, petitions, and demonstrations.
• Participate in national coordinating meetings and prepare weekly reports.

This role educates and mobilizes communities to challenge corporate-driven trade agreements and promote just and sustainable trade policies that protect jobs, wages, worker rights, climate, and public health.

• At least three years of organizing experience (professional or volunteer), including giving presentations, recruiting volunteers, and organizing events.
• Strong communication skills, comfortable with public speaking, meeting facilitation, writing, and cold calling.
• Extremely detail-oriented, deadline-focused, and able to handle multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to work within a budget and report on work; fluency in languages besides English is a plus.

Salary: $50,000 to $60,000/year. Benefits include vacation, health, and retirement. Remote position with frequent travel.
