Mission

What you will drive

  • Monitor and relocate Timber Rattlesnakes during construction and land management activities to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Clear work areas of rattlesnakes before construction starts and proactively search the site throughout the day.
  • Record field observations, GPS locations, and environmental conditions; submit detailed reports.
  • Provide on-site guidance to construction personnel on rattlesnake safety and ensure snakes are not harmed.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Type 3 Scientific Collector Permit for Timber Rattlesnake Construction Monitoring issued by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in herpetological monitoring.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Biology, Ecology, Herpetology, or related field; 3-5 years of Timber Rattlesnake monitoring experience.
  • Strong field navigation skills with GPS and mapping software; excellent communication skills.
