Mission
What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Supporting and coordinating key projects to advance thought leadership priorities for the organization, including coordinating with external co-authors to finalize, submit, and promote academic research papers on pandemic risk, antimicrobial resistance, and conservation.
- Collaborating with internal and external partners to plan virtual and in-person convenings and presentations on alternative proteins as a high impact intervention to mitigate climate change, promote conservation, and meet global health goals.
- Reviewing and synthesizing important external reports, articles, and studies to support internal GFI decision-making, strategy, and communications.
- Orchestrating and/or participating in stakeholder meetings with or at the direction of the President, including with policymakers, philanthropic foundations, NGOs, and other individuals or organizations.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
Required skills and experience:
- At least 3 years of related experience, ideally in policy, strategy, or operations work.
- Exemplary written and oral communication skills and interpersonal savvy.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational aptitude (capacity to juggle multiple projects simultaneously with transparent project management).
- Experience, skill, and comfort collaborating, and delegating responsibilities upwards, laterally, and to external stakeholders.
- Strong support for GFI's philosophy and mission; demonstrated interest (and ideally direct work or academic experience) in plant-based & other alt proteins, public health, environmentalism, climate change, or hunger relief.
