Temporary Base Building & Mobilization Phonebanker

Core responsibilities:

• Phonebank through Bend the Arc member lists to have relational organizing conversations that move members toward in-person action
• Track progress and results of conversations in database systems and coordinate with chapter leaders and national staff
• Lead confirmation calls for people who RSVP or sign up to mobilizations, direct actions, phonebanks, or in-person events
• Provide insight and feedback on phonebanking scripts and approaches

This role creates positive change by building a multiracial, multiethnic, intergenerational movement to fight white supremacy, antisemitism, and racism, working toward a true multiracial democracy where all communities can thrive.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Prior organizing experience building one-to-one relationships and engaging individuals to take action
• Comfort and experience engaging strangers over the phone through various scenarios
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to synthesize organizational messaging
• Competency in Google platforms and comfort learning other technology systems

Compensation and details:

• Salary range: $30-35/hour
• Part-time position (10-15 hours per week with flexible scheduling)
• Temporary position (4-5 months duration)
• Remote work environment
• Union shop with Bend the Arc Workers Union under NPEU
