Technical Writer & Editor

• Research and write reports and create content summarizing CalMTA’s work and initiatives.
• Provide technical copy editing, fact checking, and sourcing of reports and studies developed by partners and contractors.
• Concept and create high-quality, data-driven visuals to support information sharing.
• Develop presentation materials that deliver key messages and outcomes.

This role supports California's market transformation program to accelerate adoption of energy-efficient technologies, reducing carbon emissions and promoting equity, directly contributing to climate change solutions.

• 5+ years work experience in energy efficiency and subject matter knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience writing and editing a range of technical and marketing documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly formatting styles in Word and PowerPoint.
