Technical Lead

As a Technical Lead (Senior Engineer II), you will:

• Lead technical discovery, architectural design, and development of scalable, resilient systems for Kaluza's Energy Retail platform
• Own products end-to-end from shaping technical direction through to deployment, monitoring, and iteration based on real-world feedback
• Mentor engineers, contribute to cross-team initiatives, and help define the future direction of the platform
• Participate in support rota to triage platform issues and respond to incidents, maintaining high reliability standards

This role contributes to Kaluza's mission of bringing net-zero within everyone's reach by building the technology platform that enables energy utilities to unlock the full value of a radically changing energy system, making renewable energy sustainable, affordable and accessible for all.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Strong engineering fundamentals with solid proficiency in TypeScript and experience building scalable, resilient, observable systems in production
• Experience with modern engineering practices including test automation, continuous delivery, and agile methodologies
• Ability to work with technologies like GitHub Actions, Terraform, Kubernetes, Serverless, DynamoDB/Postgres, AWS, and DataDog
• Proven track record as a collaborative team player who enjoys mentoring others and contributing to technical decision-making

Compensation and benefits include:
