About the role

We are currently looking for Team Leader / Road Safety Infrastructure Specialist who will act as the Engineer for the project and provide overall technical leadership, contract administration, and coordination for road safety design audit and construction supervision services, ensuring that all project activities are implemented in accordance with the Safe System Approach, approved designs, contract requirements, and World Bank Environmental and Social Standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and act as the Engineer for contract administration, supervision and coordination of all project activities.
  • Act as the Engineer under the civil works contracts and administer contract provisions.
  • Lead resolution of technical, contractual and implementation issues.
  • Ensure implementation of road safety interventions in line with Safe System principles, approved designs and standards.
  • Oversee road safety audits at design, pre-opening and post-construction stages; guide implementation of safety countermeasures aligned with Safe System and iRAP principles.
  • Ensure compliance with World Bank Environmental and Social Standards and GoB requirements.
  • Review and approve reports, monitor progress, and represent the Consultant in review meetings; coordinate with stakeholders and support World Bank supervision missions.

About You

  • Graduation in Civil Engineering ; Master's degree in Transportation engineering or relevant field.
  • Substantial experience in highway project supervision, with a minimum of 05 years leading consultancy teams (as Team Leader or Deputy Team Leader).
  • Substantial experience in design, supervision, monitoring and evaluation of any road safety program.
  • Have excellent knowledge on recent trends and concepts in road safety and be able to demonstrate an understanding of iRAP and safe system approach.
