What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Manage teams of engineers, drafters, designers, and technicians to ensure accurate, timely, and quality completion of civil/structural substation engineering scopes
  • Perform and manage detailed physical, civil, and structural design for electric power substations, including producing full design packages and reviewing submittals
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, and coordination for small to large-scale projects, including cost estimates and client communications
  • Mentor and coach team members, provide technical assistance, and assist in developing department Standard Best Practices

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering or similar field with 5+ years of engineering experience; FE required, PE preferred
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, SAP2000, L-pile, Mathcad, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office; strong understanding of relevant codes and standards
  • Ability to develop staff through mentoring and coaching, with excellent critical thinking and communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated, well-organized, comfortable in fast-paced environments, and authorized to work in the United States
