at UK-Med
🏢 About UK-Med
UK-Med is a frontline medical aid charity born of the NHS, with over 30 years of experience delivering healthcare in crises and disasters worldwide. They maintain a register of surge responders who are trained and vetted in advance, enabling rapid deployment to emergencies. Joining UK-Med means being part of a mission-driven organization that values preparedness and global impact.
About This Role
This role is part of UK-Med's Register, not a continuous employment position, but offers the opportunity to deploy as a Team Lead for Ebola preparedness and response in Francophone countries, primarily DRC. You will lead humanitarian health teams in challenging environments, ensuring effective coordination, safety, and quality of care. The role is impactful as it directly contributes to controlling outbreaks and saving lives.

You would liaise with local health officials and other partners, manage logistics, and address any security or medical issues that arise. Evenings might be spent reporting to headquarters and planning for the next day's operations.
