TAHub02 Call for Individual Technical Experts: SRHR Financing Specialists,

Core responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance in the development of sustainable health financing policies and programs
• Lead and contribute to tailored capacity development of UN staff, regional and country colleagues, national governments, and key stakeholders for enhancing sustainable financing for SRHR
• Conduct comprehensive analyses, studies and assessments of relevant financing landscapes, policies, strategies, and plans that impact SRHR outcomes
• Collaborate with traditional and non-traditional partners within the financing landscape and policy space to influence and shape the political economy in favor of sustainable financing

This role contributes to improving sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) of all people in Eastern and Southern Africa by developing sustainable financing policies and programs, ultimately helping to end preventable maternal deaths, unmet need for family planning, and gender-based violence.

Required qualifications:

• Master's Degree with 7 years of experience
• Must be fluent in English
• Knowledge of other official UN languages (French, Portuguese) is desirable
• Experience in health financing, policy analysis, and SRHR-related work

This is a temporary consultancy position with a 1-month contract duration. Selected candidates will be contracted by one of the four participating UN agencies (UNAIDS, UNFPA, UNICEF, WHO) or other partners using their internal policies and procedures.
