at Urgent Action Fund-Africa

🏢 About Urgent Action Fund-Africa

Urgent Action Fund-Africa is a pan-African feminist fund that provides rapid response grants to support women's rights defenders across the continent. Operating as a virtual organization with strategic presence in five sub-regions, it uniquely combines speed, flexibility, and a deep commitment to feminist principles. Working here means contributing to a nimble, impactful organization that values innovation and solidarity.

About This Role

As the Sustaining Defenders Programme Intern (Francophone), you will be the first point of contact for francophone women's rights organizations and activists seeking urgent support. 💡 A Day in the Life

Start your day by checking emails and responding to grant inquiries from francophone applicants. You might review a new application, translate a summary into English, and enter data into the grant management system. Later, you could join a virtual team meeting to discuss urgent requests and coordinate with colleagues across different time zones.
