How to Apply for Sustainability Consultant @ Climate Tech Start-up (m/w/d) - 100% Remote möglich

at Global Changer

🏢 About Global Changer

Global Changer is a climate tech start-up offering an efficient platform that automates data collection and analysis to guide B2B companies toward net-zero emissions. Their focus on automated solutions sets them apart, making sustainability reporting faster and more accurate, which is critical for scaling climate action. Working here means being at the forefront of digital sustainability innovation.

About This Role

As a Sustainability Consultant, you will independently manage client relationships in carbon management (CCF, PCF, net-zero), process sustainability data to create corporate carbon footprints, and validate software outputs. You'll also play a key role in shaping the software itself, directly influencing product development based on client feedback and data insights.

💡 A Day in the Life

Start your day by reviewing client data uploads and running the software to generate preliminary carbon footprints. Mid-morning, you might have a client call to discuss results and gather feedback. After lunch, you dive into emission factor matching and validate outputs, then collaborate with the product team on a software improvement based on client insights.

🎯 Who Global Changer Is Looking For

  • You have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in sustainability consulting or a corporate sustainability role, specifically with CCF, PCF, or LCA reporting.
  • You are fluent in German (C2) and English (C1), enabling seamless communication with clients and internal teams.
  • You possess a hands-on mentality, comfortable with operational tasks like emission factor matching and reviewing software results.
  • You have strong communication and project management skills, able to build long-term client relationships and drive projects independently.

📝 Tips for Applying to Global Changer

2

3

Emphasize your ability to work independently in a remote setting, with examples of self-managed projects.

4

Tailor your CV to show both technical sustainability expertise and client-facing consulting skills.

5

Include a brief note on why you're passionate about climate tech and how your skills align with Global Changer's mission.
