The opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy as a Supplier Planner and help build a responsive, efficient, and future‑ready supply chain. In this role, you’ll translate demand signals into clear supplier plans, align capacity with factory needs, and support the S&OP process to strengthen service levels and working capital.

You’ll collaborate across engineering, sourcing, quality, and planning teams to address constraints, shape demand, and support smooth product transitions. Your analytical insight and cross‑functional influence will directly drive delivery performance and inventory health.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Develop and communicate constrained material plans into the S&OP process.

  • Consolidate factory demand and share accurate forecasts with suppliers.

  • Run rough‑cut and detailed capacity planning to align with production.

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Commodity Managers, SQM, and Demand Planners to align design, sourcing, and demand.

  • Identify capacity and raw‑material constraints; drive short‑ and long‑term mitigations.

  • Connect S&OE to supplier capabilities and keep supplier forecast models current.

  • Keep inventories on target by partnering with factories, supply chain, and suppliers.

  • Improve plan adherence via gap analysis, E&O reduction, and phase‑in/phase‑out support.

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your back‑ground

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering (preferred).

  • 5+ years in supply chain planning or purchasing (or equivalent mix of education and achievements).

  • SAP MM/PP (or similar ERP) proficiency.

  • Advanced Excel; strong analytical judgment and independent decision‑making.

  • Track record working cross‑functionally in a global value chain.

  • Organized, proactive teammate with customer and quality focus; uses root‑cause methods.
