Supervising Attorney, Clean Energy & Project Finance

Core responsibilities:

• Develop L4GG's scope of services for green financing
• Develop and manage partnerships with green banks, CDFIs, and other entities
• Supervise L4GG products and services for green financing
• Identify opportunities and vulnerabilities in delivering green financing services
• Provide internal training and education to Clean Energy lawyers
• Help manage rapid response tasks and contribute to forward-looking strategies
• Execute tasks as directed by Vice President of CCEJ or Director of Clean Energy

This role helps finance community-driven clean energy and environmental projects, implementing a just transition to the green economy by assisting state agencies, local agencies, green banks, and CBOs in identifying and leveraging green financing options.

Required qualifications:

• Juris Doctor or Master of Laws degree
• 5+ years of legal experience with project finance
• Commitment to L4GG's mission and passion for climate change/environmental justice
• Ability to lead and support a team of lawyers through assignment and management of work
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences
• Technology comfort with basic software (Google, Zoom) and willingness to learn new tools
• Access to quiet workspace with high-speed internet for calls/video conferences

Desired qualifications:

• Deep experience with financing of clean energy or infrastructure assets
• Familiarity and relationships with solar and energy storage businesses and industry associations
