Summer 2026 Internal Communications Internship

Under the supervision of the Internal Communications Program Manager:

• Draft materials and language to provide guidance to Atlas space managers and content creators, post updated policies on Atlas for all Earthjustice staff, etc.
• Collect and post standard information about departments and teams.
• Support ad-hoc work to update various fields on Atlas.

This role supports Earthjustice's mission to protect people's health, preserve magnificent places and wildlife, advance clean energy, and combat climate change by improving internal communications through the intranet site (Atlas), helping staff access information and collaborate effectively to advance environmental justice.

• Enrolled in a college/university program as a sophomore or junior during fall 2026. Preference given to those in the communications or related liberal arts field.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Collaborative spirit for working with peers in team-based environment. Demonstrated commitment to Earthjustice's values of Justice, Excellence, Inclusion, and Partnership.

Interns at Earthjustice receive an hourly rate that is considered taxable income. The summer 2026 hourly rate for undergraduate students is $19.18. This internship is for 24 hours/week for 10 weeks, offering flexible remote or hybrid work options from the U.S., with a preference for San Francisco, CA or Washington, DC offices.
