Substation Engineer 3 (Remote)

• Review electrical substations, including layout, equipment selection, and equipment specifications in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Review load flow, short circuit, and relay coordination studies to ensure the reliability and efficiency of substation designs.
• Prepare/Review detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications using AutoCAD electrical or Bluebeam.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including utility companies, contractors, and regulatory agencies to obtain approvals and permits for substation projects.

This role contributes to the development of renewable energy infrastructure by designing and implementing electrical substations for utility solar and energy storage projects, supporting the transition to cleaner energy sources across North America.

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field; master's degree preferred.
• 3-4+ years in substation design, construction, or maintenance.
• Solid understanding of power systems, including transmission, distribution, and generation.
• Proficiency in engineering software tools such as ETAP, SKM, or PSS/E for power system analysis.
