at North Carolina Black Alliance
๐ข About North Carolina Black Alliance
The North Carolina Black Alliance is a unique 501c3 nonprofit focused specifically on advancing Black political power in North Carolina through GOTV, organizing, advocacy, and election protection. Unlike generic political organizations, NCBA centers Black communities and works at the intersection of electoral strategy and racial justice, making it an ideal workplace for mission-driven organizers passionate about systemic change in the South.
About This Role
As Statewide Organizing Manager, you'll lead and coordinate organizing efforts across North Carolina, supervising county organizers and Regional Organizing Managers while ensuring alignment with NCBA's programmatic priorities. This role is impactful because you'll directly shape how Black communities are mobilized for elections and advocacy, overseeing data tracking, training materials, and statewide initiative implementation that determines NCBA's effectiveness.
๐ก A Day in the Life
A typical day might involve morning check-ins with Regional Organizing Managers about county-level progress, reviewing base-building data reports with the Data Coordinator, and developing training materials with the seasonal training coordinator.
