State Traffic/ITS Leader - REMOTE

Core responsibilities:

• Serves as lead for mid to large size Traffic/ITS projects, including business development with local clients like DOTs and counties.
• Provides specialized technical input, approves work, performs quality control reviews, and develops technical proposals and procedures.
• Leads and manages projects and teams, presents complex solutions to clients, and contributes to engineering budget and schedule development.
• Engages in alternative delivery project prospecting, proposals, and procurements to support business growth in specified regions.

This role contributes to improving transportation infrastructure and traffic management systems in multiple states, enhancing safety, efficiency, and sustainability in public transit and road networks.

Required skills and experience:

• Proven track record of obtaining and managing large Transportation projects with Local and State Agencies, specifically within Traffic and ITS disciplines.
• Strong technical expertise to serve as a technical advisor, with ability to lead projects and teams, and excellent people management skills.
• Experience in business development, including prospecting and proposal development with established client relationships.
• Familiarity with local agency specifications, policies, and procedures, and ability to perform quality control reviews and develop technical specifications.
