Mission
What you will drive
The Finance Officer will provide cashier functions and maintain proper financial records of all transactions in accordance with Malaria Consortium's financial procedures for the field office.
- Prepare monthly financial reports including bank reconciliation statements, aged lists of outstanding advances, fixed asset register updates, petty cash reconciliations, and timesheet updates
- Manage supplier invoices by receiving, reviewing, posting procurement invoices, and preparing payments via cash, cheque, or bank transfers
- Handle operations-related work including issuing travel and activity advances, maintaining organized filing systems for financial documents, and ensuring staff submit timesheets
- Manage petty cash impress system, make requisitions and issues as approved, take collections with proper receipts, and post all petty cash invoices and vouchers into the General Ledger

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- HND or Bachelor's degree in Accounting with minimum 3 years' experience in a finance team, including at least one year in an Accounts Officer position
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with knowledge of NGO donors and their financial reporting requirements
- Excellent computer skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, good analytical and reporting skills
- Strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with willingness to learn at all times
