Staff/Principal Security Engineer, Trust & Risk

Core responsibilities:

• Design and build continuous control validation and evidence pipelines
• Automate evidence collection across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and ML workflows
• Translate regulatory frameworks into programmatic controls and machine-checkable artefacts
• Integrate AI safety artefacts into compliance pipelines and implement controls for model handling

This role helps accelerate frontier-scale AI safety research by building security systems that enable researchers to move fast while maintaining safety, with direct influence on how frontier AI is governed and deployed globally.

Required qualifications:

• Staff-level engineering experience (platform, infrastructure, application, or security)
• Strong programming skills (Python, Go, or similar)
• Comfortable with IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Experience working in a regulated or security-conscious environment

Compensation and benefits:

• Salary range: £65,000–£145,000 (base plus technical allowance)
• 28.97% employer pension contribution
