Staff Sales Engineer (Remote, US)

• Serve as the technical bridge between commercial organization, external partners, and internal teams, providing technical expertise throughout the sales lifecycle.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, validate solution design, and support proposal development for utility engagements and strategic partnerships.
• Represent Renew Home externally as a trusted technical advisor, communicating capabilities and solution architecture to diverse stakeholders.
• Drive cross-functional alignment and support commercial readiness by translating market feedback into actionable insights and ensuring commitments align with product capabilities.

This role directly supports the expansion of the largest residential virtual power plant in North America, enabling cleaner energy and helping customers save energy and money, thereby contributing to a more sustainable and efficient energy grid.

• 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Technical Consulting, or a related technical customer-facing role.
• Experience working with utilities, grid-edge technologies, distributed energy resources, or large-scale energy programs.
• Strong understanding of demand response, load flexibility, virtual power plants, and/or distributed energy resource management concepts.
• Experience leading technical customer or partner engagements and translating complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Full-time position with competitive salary ($165k - $205k base), target annual bonus of 15% of base salary, and long-term incentive programs.
