Staff Data Scientist (AI Transformation)

As Staff Data Scientist at Fastned, you will:

• Lead the Data Science & AI pillar and drive AI transformation across the company
• Own data science and AI initiatives end-to-end from discovery to implementation and change management
• Coordinate AI Leadership Task Force, AI Champions, and cross-functional AI workstreams
• Coach team members, uncover opportunities, and develop data science models (simulations, ML, GenAI, causal inference)

This role accelerates the transition to sustainable transportation by using AI and data science to optimize Fastned's network of 400+ fast charging stations across Europe, enabling more electric vehicle drivers to charge with 100% renewable energy.

We're looking for someone with:

• 7+ years experience as Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, Applied Scientist or similar role
• Strong stakeholder management and change management skills with leadership through influence
• Solid foundations in Machine Learning, Simulation-based methods, and Causal inference
• Programming skills in Python and experience deploying ML models to production
