Staff Attorney I

• Lead and co-counsel litigation on climate and energy issues from case development through appeals.
• Engage in federal, state, and local regulatory proceedings to advance organizational priorities.
• Provide legal support to organizing campaigns and other teams, and act as a public spokesperson.

This role advances litigation and legal strategies to protect clean water, food safety, and a livable climate, holding corporations and governments accountable for environmental harm.

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and bar admission in any U.S. state.
• At least two years of experience as a practicing attorney on environmental issues, with litigation background, preferably on climate and energy.
• Excellent legal writing, oral communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Adobe Pro and Microsoft Office; ability to work remotely.

Salary: $72,000-$90,000 annually. Benefits include 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision; 403b retirement plan; 12 weeks paid parental leave; 3 weeks vacation; 12 sick days; 5 personal days; paid federal holidays and winter break.
