Staff Attorney

• Perform legal research and draft legal documents including answers, motions, and court filings.
• Represent clients during FBI interrogations and assist with litigation including client interviews, discovery, and trials.
• Engage in alternative dispute resolution to resolve civil rights cases outside court.
• Participate in speaking engagements and train CAIR staff on civil rights issues.

This role protects the civil rights of American Muslims, combats discrimination, and promotes justice and empowerment within the community.

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Minimum 3 years prior associate-level experience in civil rights.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral skills.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments and work independently and in a team.

Salary: $83,100 annually (non-negotiable). Remote position with national travel required approximately once monthly. Must work east coast time zone hours.
