Staff Accountant

• Manage grant billing processes, prepare reports and budgets, and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
• Administer payroll including staff allocations, timecard reviews, and system maintenance.
• Assist with audit preparation, reconcile grant activity, and respond to auditor inquiries.

This role supports the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan's mission to improve the lives of those affected by kidney disease by ensuring accurate financial management and compliance, enabling the organization to focus on its life-saving programs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience with demonstrated success in grant billing.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of MS Office and Outlook.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
