Sr Systems Engineer

• Own the tooling infrastructure and automation layer, defining how systems connect via APIs, webhooks, and integrations.
• Build and ship automations and integrations daily using AI tools, eliminating manual work across teams.
• Lead a small technical team, ensuring high-priority work ships on time and fostering a builder culture.

This role directly accelerates the transition to climate-friendly homes by building the automation and tooling infrastructure that makes Elephant Energy more efficient, scalable, and impactful in reducing residential carbon emissions.

• 4–8 years of experience in systems engineering, technical operations, or similar builder roles; 2–3 years managing small, agile teams.
• Strong full-stack background with deep backend experience (APIs, integrations, data models); proficiency in Python, JavaScript, SQL, and AI coding tools.
• Experience with Retool, Airtable, Salesforce, and cloud/backend platforms; builder-first mindset with high agency and systems thinking.

$150,000 – $180,000 base salary, stock options, 100% employer-paid health care (50% for dependents), 4% 401(k) match, flexible unlimited PTO, home electrification incentives, remote-first culture with semi-annual team gatherings in Colorado.
