Sr. Director, Hardware Engineering

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
• Provide technical guidance on the design, development, and testing of electrical systems, ensuring alignment with project specifications and timelines.
• Drive long-term strategic planning, identifying future needs and opportunities in robotics hardware development.
• Establish structured processes and methodologies for diagnosing and resolving technical challenges.

This role contributes to reimagining how things move in cities by developing sidewalk robots that take deliveries away from congested streets, make deliveries available to more people, and benefit local businesses, transforming robotic deliveries from novelty to efficient ubiquity.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 10+ years in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing teams of 15+ engineers.
• Proven track record of shipping motion robotics, drones, or similar mechatronic systems with integrated sensors and battery-operated designs.
• Strong background in PCB design, embedded systems, sensors, and robotics hardware.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a structured and methodical approach to technical challenges.
