Sports & Challenges Manager (DIY)

About the Role

The role involves managing a diverse portfolio of events and leading on multichannel stewardship journeys to ensure outstanding participant experiences.

Responsibilities

• Strategically manage a diverse events portfolio including DIY and open challenges, Ultra Challenges, and Run for Charity events
• Lead on multichannel stewardship journeys to ensure outstanding participant experiences
• Collaborate with colleagues across Digital Marketing, Brand, Regional Engagement, Fundraising Operations and external suppliers
• Help drive the charity's ambitious objectives for growth, supporter engagement and long-term value

This role helps position Young Lives vs Cancer as a stand-out, sector-leading events brand while supporting children and young people facing cancer through fundraising events.

Required skills and experience:

• Strong strategic and operational experience within mass participation events
• Experience delivering effective, data-driven multichannel stewardship journeys
• Strong relationship-building skills, with experience working with suppliers, organisers and internal teams

Compensation and benefits:

• Salary: £35,882 (outside London) - £37,778 (London)
• 27 days Annual leave (excluding Bank Holidays)
• Up to 8% pension contribution
