Special Assistant to Fellow and Team Lead- Climate Resilience

Core responsibilities:

• Assist the Fellow in conducting primary and secondary research on climate change adaptation and resilience, urban resilience, nature-based solutions, adaptation finance, international climate negotiations, and macroeconomic impacts of climate change.
• Support the Fellow in developing concept notes, research writing, programme planning, developing Terms of References, and fundraising activities including mapping potential funders.
• Prepare memos and presentations for high-level government and industry stakeholders and collaborate with various programme and initiative teams.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices, while actively building networks with public, private, and civil society organizations.

This role contributes to high-impact innovations at the intersection of social equity and environmental sustainability, supporting climate change adaptation and resilience efforts through research, stakeholder engagement, and strategic conceptualization.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Strong academic credentials, preferably a Master’s degree in public policy, climate change, business administration, or development sector, with knowledge in environment/sustainability being advantageous.
• 2-4 years of relevant research or business analysis experience, with exposure to the development sector and climate change adaptation being desirable.
• Strong analytical abilities, familiarity with primary and secondary research methods, and effective oral and written communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in word-processing, presentation, data analysis, and AI tools, with the ability to adapt and deliver under tight deadlines in a professional environment.
