Solar Programs, Senior Project Manager – Consumer Protection (Compliance) - Remote - US

Core responsibilities:

• Investigating alleged violations of Illinois Shines program requirements and making recommendations for mediation and disciplinary action
• Drafting letters to entities alleged or confirmed to have violated program requirements and editing team members' correspondence
• Ensuring the Consumer Protection team follows internal processes for disciplinary action and identifying process improvements
• Identifying trends in consumer complaints and program violations, recommending proactive measures, and monitoring corrective actions

This role helps protect consumers' rights in Illinois' solar incentive program, ensuring the clean energy transition happens fairly and responsibly while supporting the state's goal of 100% renewable energy by 2050.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 8 years' relevant work experience in compliance, consumer protection, legal/paralegal, regulatory, auditing or quality control
• Strong written communication skills including editing/reviewing team members' work and ability to train staff on professional writing
• Exceptional attention to detail in written deliverables and ability to interact professionally with clients as primary point of contact
• Demonstrated outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, including risk management and mitigation

Compensation includes:

• Salary range of $92,000–$125,000 annually with target compensation of $106,250
