Solar Developer

• Lead project management activities for multiple development-stage solar and solar + storage energy projects in AZ and NV.
• Coordinate with internal Land, Permitting, Engineering, and Interconnection teams as well as outside consultants to ensure projects meet development milestones and maximize returns.
• Work closely with Origination and Commercial teams to prepare RFP responses and support off-taker outreach.
• Maintain internal development asset database and compile financial model data for RFP responses and pipeline management.

This role directly advances the global transition to renewable energy by developing solar and storage projects that reduce carbon emissions and support a net-zero future, contributing to AES's commitment to meeting the Paris Agreement goals by 2050.

• 4-8 years’ experience in the power industry (or related industries such as environmental, construction, and/or regulatory); 2-4 years’ experience with renewable development activities (interconnection, permitting, site selection).
• Fundamental understanding of financial models and ability to assess economic impact of project decisions.
• Strong organizational, technical, communication, management, decision-making, and analytical skills.
• BS/BA degree required in engineering, environmental, energy, planning, business, finance, or economics.

Salary range: $105,000 - $131,325/year (USD). Total compensation includes annual bonus. Benefits: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off (vacation, sick leave, parental leave).
