Software Engineer II (Flex)

• Design and deliver scalable features for the Flex platform, integrating technologies like electric vehicles and enabling customer offerings such as 'Charge Anytime'.
• Work closely with data scientists and backend engineers on core optimisation problems, taking ownership of features from early idea through to ongoing improvement.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code and contribute to a strong engineering culture, building software that decarbonises transport and home energy use at scale.

This role directly contributes to decarbonising transport and home energy use at scale by building software that enables a flexible, dynamic energy system, integrating renewable energy and electric vehicles.

• Hands-on engineer with expertise in at least one programming language; strong engineering fundamentals valued over specific language experience.
• Experience building or contributing to a variety of systems across different technologies.
• Knowledge of modern engineering best practices, including test automation and continuous delivery.
• Collaborative mindset with a passion for developing products that positively impact people and the environment.
