Software Engineer

Core responsibilities:

• Building features end-to-end from database schema to UI to solve problems like automating admin tasks
• Improving existing software through performance work, refactoring, or rebuilding with pragmatic decision-making
• Working with messy, real-world data including energy calculations, supplier pricing, grant eligibility rules, and customer documents
• Collaborating with non-engineers like project coordinators, surveyors, and customers to understand what needs building

This role creates positive change by building systems that power home retrofit operations, helping reduce energy consumption and improve home efficiency through technology solutions.

Required skills and experience:

• Hands-on engineering experience with Django platform development
• Experience with energy calculations and heat loss modeling (Home Digital Twin model)
• Ability to build internal tooling to improve team effectiveness
• Experience working across customer journeys, project tracking, and system integrations
