Software DevOps Engineer Trainee

Core responsibilities for this DevOps Engineer Trainee role:

• Join a DevOps team supporting cloud production systems behind a complex maritime optimisation platform
• Help with CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and Kubernetes-based workloads
• Participate in a learning-by-doing role on real systems with guidance and expectations
• Develop and create change through innovation in technologies and services

This role contributes to Wärtsilä's goal of leading the world in the transition to decarbonization and self-sustainability by supporting maritime optimization platforms that improve efficiency in the marine industry.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Currently studying in a Bachelor's or Master's degree programme in Computer Systems and Networks, Network Engineering, Information and Communication Systems, or Distributed Systems Engineering
• Basic Linux command line knowledge
• Some scripting/coding experience
• Rough understanding of cloud, CI/CD, and containers
• Fluent English communication skills
• Curiosity, reliability, honesty, and the habit of finishing things

This is a paid internship program that will provide valuable skills and experience. The program lasts for 6 months with partly working time.
