Software developer / full-stack developer

Core responsibilities:

• Design, program, and further develop web-based diagnostic instruments for schools
• Maintain and modernize existing software modules based on the current stack (PHP, MySQL, JavaScript including jQuery/Ajax)
• Conceptualize and develop new online instruments, such as digital questionnaire and survey tools with automated, standardized evaluations
• Conduct tests, error management, and quality assurance
• Provide third-level support for regional administrators and project teams
• Create and maintain technical documentation and contribute to user manuals
• Provide technical advice to project managers on data structure for municipal dashboards
• Collaborate with external service providers for integration with municipal platforms and hosting/deployment/support

Required skills and qualifications:

• Completed degree or training in computer science, software development, or similar field
• Excellent German language skills (at least C1 level)
• Very good knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript
• Proficient handling of HTML/CSS; knowledge of jQuery and Ajax
• Experience with Linux servers (e.g., Debian, Ubuntu) and web server configuration
• Secure handling of databases and server structures
• Basic understanding of IT security and data protection (GDPR)
• Experience with tools like Git, Composer, SSH, and Cron
• Experience in developing interactive web-based tools, ideally including form or survey systems
• Understanding of data validation, data collection, and standardized evaluation logic
